This page describes how to access and disable a Windows Service.
1.Access the 'Administrative Tools' entry in the Control Panel:
2. In the 'Administrative Tools' sheet, choose 'Services':
3. On the Services page, locate the Service you wish to disable, double-click it, then click 'Stop'. Next, choose the 'Startup type' menu entry of 'Disabled' and click OK.
