Components

ISMail has the following components:

• ESMTP server: queues and sends outgoing mail messages from client email programs to other machines on the network, and receives messages from other SMTP servers (uses port 25),
• POP3 server: receives messages from the mail server on behalf of mail client programs with the POP3 protocol (uses port 110),
• IMAP4 server: receives messages from the mail server on behalf of mail client programs with the IMAP4 protocol (uses port 143),
• ISMail Configuration Manager: Windows-based configuration program for domain name and DNS setup, user account management, access control, viewing statistics, and checking mail server status
