Requirements

ISMail EP runs on Windows 2000/XP/2003 operating systems.

A minimum of CPU speed of 300MHz is recommended.

A minimum of 16MB RAM is recommended for program operation in addition to normal operating system memory requirements.

A minimum of 100MB disk space is recommended for program storage. Additional disk space should be allocated depending upon the number of mail accounts, mail account message storage limits, and mail queus (e.g. 1000 accounts using 10MB each would require up to 10GB of disk space for mail account message storage).

A domain name and DNS service for the domain is required ('MX' records are optional).

ISMail EP requires that external machines be able to access ports 25 (SMTP), 110 (POP3), 143 (IMAP4), and/or 80 (Webmail) and 389 (LDAP). Secure messaging based on SSL/TLS may also require ports 995 (POPS), 993 (IMAPS), and/or 443 (HTTPS).

ISMail EP must be able to access port 25, or relay using a 'Smarthost' on a configurable network port.
