Windows Services

The ISMail servers can be installed either as Applications or as Windows Services (on versions of Windows that support the use of Services).

If the server machine's OS supports Services, a Services tab will be displayed by the ISMail configuration program menu. If no such tab is displayed, then the server platform does not support Services and the ISMail servers will be installed only as Applications.

Either the ISMail configuration menu Services tab or the Windows Service Control Manager can be used to specify how the Service(s) should be started (automatically or manually).

To install one or more mail servers as Windows Services, use the Services tab of the ISMail Configuration program menu.
