The ISMail EP anti-spam filter plugin packages SpamAssassinTM as an anti-spam server for ISMail EP (the 'spamd' server).
This filter may be used for the entire mail server, or enabled for specific mail domains using the ISMail EP 'Heuristic' filter setting.
A Bayseian database self-learns ham and spam; approximately 200 'hammy' and 'spammy' messages are required for this filter to be used. In order to be most effective, only messages scoring very low are classified as 'hammy' and those scoring high as 'spammy' in the self-learner.
Standard SpamAssassin local settings may be configured in the file:
../ismail/sa/perl/site/5.8.8/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf
The plugin requires that Webmail first be installed, although it is not necessary to run the Webmail server.
