The YaBB plug-in supports the YaBB ('Yet Another Bulletin Board') discussion board.
Features of YaBB include: multiple forums, multi-threaded topics, searching, automatic email notification, and administrative functions.
In addition to the YaBB software, the plug-in adds a MiniPortal Administrator menu to access the YaBB administrative functions, the YaBB discussion boards, and YaBB Help information.
The plug-in automatically installs YaBB and configures the web server for access to YaBB from the server machine.
Important Note: once YaBB has been setup and a domain name is in use, the YaBB Admin 'Forum Preferences and Settings' and all occurrences of '127.0.0.1' must be replaced with the domain name (e.g. 'mydomain.com').
User access to the Forums is with: 'http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.pl' (on the server machine) or using the domain name.
Administrative access to YaBB is with: 'http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.pl' (on the server machine, or through the YaBB menu in MiniPortal Administrator). Click 'Admin' to login (use MiniPortal Administrator for initial login instructions).
Unlike some other Forums, the YaBB plug-in works directly with MiniPortal and does not require any other software to be installed.
